Dr. Antonietta Messina is an Associate Professor at the Department of Precision Medicine, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Caserta, Italy, and a specialist in Sports Medicine. She has engaged in research activities during her studies, especially in the field of dysmetabolic pathologies, both at the Department of Experimental Medicine and at the Sports Physiology Service of the Second University of Naples. She is the author of many publications on the treatment and prevention of obesity and related pathologies, with particular emphasis on the importance of correct nutritional intake and sporting activity in the treatment of these pathologies.

Marcellino Monda is a Full Professor of Physiology (scientific disciplinary field BIO-09) at the Department of Experimental Medicine of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Caserta, Italy and President of the Napoli Graduate School of Medicine of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. He is also the Director of the School of Specialisation in Sports Medicine at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, the Director of the UOC of Dietetics, Sports Medicine and Psychophysical Wellbeing at the University Hospital of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” and Rector’s Delegate for Sport. His main lines of research (on laboratory animals and humans) are (1) Nervous control of body temperature. (2) Correlations between thermogenesis and eating behavior. (3) Cortical and hypothalamic control of vegetative functions.
