Dr.
Maxime Billot has been a Research Coordinator at PRISMATICS lab, CHU de
Poitiers, Région de Poitiers, France since 2019. Before this, he was a
Chercheur associé at Laboratoire HAVAE EA6310, Région de Limoges, France from
2017 to 2019. He was a Ingénieur de Recherche Hospitalier at CHU de Limoges
from 2016 to 2019. He was a Chercheur postdoctoral at Centre interdisciplinaire
de recherche en réadaptation et en intégration sociale (CIRRIS) from 2014 to
2016, Université Laval from 2012 to 2016 and Laboratoire GRAME-Département de
kinésiologie from 2012 to 2014. He was a Chercheur associé at Laboratoire M2H-Euromov-Université
Montpellier 1, Montpellier, France from 2011 to 2012. His research interests
include rehabilitation, mobility, Postural Control, motor control, Pain,
Complementary and alternative medicine, spinal cord stimulation, Sensorimotor
Intergration, and neuromuscular plasticity.
Maria Luisa Benitez-Lugo has a Diploma in Physiotherapy. She holds a doctorate in Physiotherapy from the University of Seville, an Official Master in Advanced Studies on Brain and Behavior from the University of Seville, and a Master in Early Care from the Pablo de Olavide University. She is Vice Dean of Teaching Innovation, Postgraduate Studies, and Physiotherapy at the University of Seville (from December 2013 to October 2018), a Vice Dean of Students and Social Action Classroom (from October 2022 to present) and a Contracted Professor Doctor of the Department of Physiotherapy of the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry of the University of Seville. She is a Facilitator of the Program for the Implementation of Emotional Intelligence in the Educational and Family Field. Her research interests include mutation, gaze palsy, familial horizontal, scoliosis, and children.
Carlos Luque-Moreno began working as a clinician in different centers and hospitals in the year 2000, most notably the IRCSS Fondazione Ospedale San Camillo (Venice, Italy) and the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, Seville, Spain (March 2004–March 2018). At the same time, he has combined his clinical work with teaching, as a clinical tutor at the University of Padova (September 2001–September 2003), Associate Professor at the University of Seville (November 2004–March 2018), Adjunct Professor at the University of Cádiz (March 2018–February 2021), and Professor at the University of Seville (February 2021–present). He has been a trainer in Neurological Physiotherapy in several public hospitals in Andalusia (Spain) and currently works on the Master’s Degree program in Neurological Physiotherapy at the University of Cádiz. He holds a Degree in Physiotherapy, a Master’s in Advanced Studies in Brain and Behavior, a Specialism in Neurological Physiotherapy, and an International Doctorate in Health Sciences (Extraordinary Award from the University of Seville). His research is focused on the analysis and re-education of movement in different neurological pathologies with traditional physiotherapy techniques, as well as complementary ones, highlighting the use of new technologies such as virtual reality in gait re-education.
