Klaus Ebnet is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Münster. He obtained his Ph.D. in Immunobiology from the Albrecht Ludwigs-University Freiburg in 1992. He went on to complete his postdoctoral research at the Experimental Immunology Branch, NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA, in 1996, followed by further postdoctoral research at the Institute of Cell Biology, ZMBE, University of Münster, in 2002. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as a group leader at the Institute of Cell Biology, ZMBE, University of Münster. Since 2006, he has served as an independent group leader at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry, ZMBE, University of Münster. His skills and expertise include tight junctions, cell adhesion, cell signaling, contact inhibition of locomotion, cell polarity, entosis, and junctional adhesion molecules.
