Cihan Varol received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Firat University, Elazig, Turkey (2002), an M.S. degree in Engineering at Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Eng. from West Virginia University (WVU) (2005), and a Ph.D. in Applied Computing from University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) (2009). He is currently a Professor at the Computer Science Department, College of Sciences, Sam Houston State University. He has published one IEEE Standard, three book chapters, and more than 100 journal and conference proceedings. He is an Executive Board Member of the IEEE Education Society Standards Committee and also an organizing member of the IEEE-sponsored International Symposium on Digital Forensics and Security. He is serving on multiple other committees for the university, college, and department.
Narasimha Shashidhar received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication
Engineering from The University of Madras in 2001, and his M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Connecticut
in 2004 and 2010, respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Department
of Computer Science at Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX. His
research interests include Cryptography, Information Hiding, Steganography,
Electronic Voting and Security, Peer-to-Peer/Sensor Networks, and Context-aware
pervasive communication. He was a part of the Voting Technology and Research
Center (VoTeR) at the University of Connecticut where he advised the State of
CT on the security and deployment of electronic voting machines. He has over 50
conference/journal publications and also serves on the editorial
advisory/review board and the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of several
books, journals, and conferences. He currently serves as the program director
for the Ph.D. program in Digital and Cyber Forensic Science, at SHSU. This is
the first such program in the country to produce digital forensics research
professionals.
