Alessio D’Alessio is currently associate professor of histology and embryology at the faculty of medicine and surgery of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome. He is primarily interested in studying the functions of blood vessels and vascular endothelial cells in human inflammatory responses. Additionally, he focuses on researching the biological and molecular processes involved in the regulation of signal transduction mechanisms in vascular endothelial cells by "lipid rafts" and caveolae.
