His Main research directions are dynamic complex system analysis and modeling, complex network theory and application, and data science theory and application.
Jianxi Gao is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include resilience, regime shift, cascading failures, and control.
Shlomo Havlin is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel. He served as President of the Israel Physical Society (1996–1999), Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences (1999–2001), and Chairman of the Department of Physics (1984–1988). In 2018, he won the Israel Prize for his accomplishments in physics. His research interests include cascading failure; Giant Component; robustness; Epidemic spreading; SIS Model; complex network; time series analysis; clustering coefficient; and Complex Networks.
