Anacharis Babeto de Sá-Nakanishi Graduated in
Pharmacy-Clinical Analysis from the State University of Maringá (2003); She received
her master's degree (2006) and doctorate (2013) in Biological Sciences
(Concentration area: Cellular and Molecular Biology) from the same university. She
has experience in the area of Biochemistry, with an emphasis on Metabolism and
Bioenergetics, working mainly on the following topics: hepatic metabolism,
arthritis, diabetes, cerebral ischemia and tissue oxidative stress. She is
currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and deputy
chief of the Biochemistry Department at the State University of Maringá. She
participates as an effective member of the Postgraduate Program (Strictu Sensu)
in Food Science and develops research with other groups at the same University and internationally.
Jurandir Fernando Comar received his Master's degree in
Cellular and Molecular Biology from the State University of Maringá, a Ph.D. in
the same area from the same University, a Post-doctorate at the Hepatic
Metabolism Laboratory at the State University of Maringá. His research area
mainly includes hepatic metabolism and tissue oxidative stress, with experience
in basic and clinical biochemistry, with an emphasis on Metabolism and
Bioenergetics, working mainly on the following topics: hepatic metabolism,
diabetes, cachexia, rat liver perfusion, zoning of hepatic metabolism and
tissue oxidative stress.
Adelar Bracht received his degree in Biological Sciences
from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (1972), a master’s degree in
Sciences (Biochemistry) from the Federal University of Paraná (1975), and a PhD
in Biochemistry from the Ludwig-Maximillians Universität de Munich (1980). He
was a full professor of Biochemistry at the State University of Maringá,
currently serving as a senior professor in the Department of Biochemistry. At
the University of Maringá, he was the coordinator and founder of the
postgraduate program in Biological Sciences, head of the department and, more
recently, coordinator of the bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. His research areas
are mammalian and fungal metabolism, bioenergetics, enzymology, pharmacological
and endocrine biochemistry, and transport phenomena. He won the Paranaense
Science and Technology Award in 2002.
