Meijuan Xu is Professor at the School of Biotechnology at Jiangnan University. She completed her PhD studies at the Jiangnan University. She is mainly engaged in the research of systematic metabolic engineering breeding, synthetic biology and key enzyme modification of microbial fermentation strains. In the past 5 years, she has published more than 50 research papers in Science Advances, Bioresource Technology, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, ACS Synthetic Biology, etc. She has 167 publications with 2285 citations and an h-index of 28 (Scoups, 9 October 2023).
Xian Zhang is a Professor at the School of Biotechnology, Jiangnan University. He completed his PhD study at Jiangnan University and has been awarded Awards and Honors. He won the second prize of the 2018 Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award, the Special Prize of the 2018 China Commerce Federation Science and Technology Progress Award, and the second prize of the 2016 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Invention. He has recently done work on the biological production of functional carbohydrates, high-value amino acids, and enzymatic modification for industrial/food use. He has published 50 SCI papers and authorized more than 60 national invention patents, and 3 U.S. patents.
Zhiming Rao is the Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center of Grain Fermentation and Food Biomanufacturing, Professor at the Jiangnan University. He completed his PhD studies at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agriculture. He has participated in The thirteenth Five-Year Plan National Key Research and Development Plan (Chief scientist). He is Associate Editor-in-Chief of the journal Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and the Editorial Board of the journal Amino Acids, Fermentation, Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing. He has 287 publications with 3660 citations and an h-index of 32 (Scoups, 9 October 2023).
