Dr. Oren Kashi is a researcher at the Fertility Preservation Center at Sheba Medical Center, Israel. He completed his PhD at the Fertility Preservation Center on the research of the chemotherapy effect on the ovarian reserve. He assessed DNA sublethal damage in surviving oocytes following exposure to chemotherapy treatment, and in other research investigated the combined suppression of follicle activation through intrinsic and extrinsic pathways in oocytes as a tool of protection against chemotherapy-induced ovarian reserve loss in mice. In his post-doctoral project, he investigated the mechanism of the loss of oocytes of primordial follicles exposed to chemotherapy using single cell RNAseq.
