Gianandrea Pasquinelli received a residency in surgical
pathology at the University of Bologna in 1988. He currently works as a full
professor in the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences at the University of
Bologna, Bologna, Italy. His research activity is in the field of
nephro-vascular diseases; his teaching activity in laboratory medicine; and his clinical
activity in the histopathology of non-tumoral kidney diseases and vascular
pathology. Main interests: vasculogenic stem cells and electron microscopy in
biology and medicine. He is the author of numerous publications, monographs, and
books with a H-index of 40 and 7327 citations on Scopus.
