Fulvio Gandolfi is a Professor at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, University of Milan, Milano, Italy. He is a Principal investigator for national (CNR, MIUR, AIRC) and international research grants (H2020, EDF). He has been the President of the International Embryo Technology Society (IETS) and of the International Congress of Animal Reproduction (ICAR). He was the recipient of the Australian Society of Reproductive Biology RF&D Award in 2009. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of Theriogenology for 20 years and currently is the Editor-in-Chief of Theriogenology WIld. His research activity has focused on the embryology of domestic animals. He has been working on different aspects of developmental biology in different domestic species. He developed different in vitro culture systems for embryos, for embryonic stem cells, and for cell reprogramming. His results have been described in more than 170 scientific publications. At present, he is the coordinator of the FET-Open EU project Fish-AI which aims to develop an innovative artificial intestine platform.
