Tak Mao (Daniel) Chan is currently Chair Professor, Yu Chiu-kwong Chair of Medicine, and Chief of Nephrology at the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong West Cluster Hospitals. He obtained his MBBS, MD, and DSc degrees at the University of Hong Kong and received training in Hong Kong and at Guy’s Hospital, London, UK. He is a Fellow of HKCP, HKAM, and Royal Colleges of Physicians in U.K. He received the Kenzo Oshima Award from the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology in 2014, and the Asian Society of Transplantation Research Award in 2023. He has been President of Hong Kong College of Physicians since 2022. His research interests include clinical management and immunopathogenesis of lupus nephritis, kidney fibrosis in CKD, and hepatitis B in immunosuppressed renal patients. He also participates in clinical trials of glomerular diseases including IgA Nephropathy.
Prof. Dr. Kook-Hwan Oh is a professor of the Division of Nephrology, Internal Medicine at Seoul National University (SNU) in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Among his current research interests are various aspects of CKD and peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients, and diabetic kidney disease. He is particularly interested in the cardiovascular (CV) complications of PD patients. His research work has been published in Diabetes, Kidney International, and many others.
Prof. Dr. Bobby Chacko is the Director of Renal services and
senior staff specialist, Nephrology and Transplantation at John Hunter
Hospital, Newcastle. He serves as the Chair for the NSW/ACT Renal Advanced
Training Recruitment Committee. He has published over 50 papers in
peer-reviewed journals and is the principal investigator for many ongoing
clinical trials in Nephrology and Transplantation. He has an active interest in
diabetic kidney disease, IgA nephropathy, and renal transplant. He holds a
conjoint appointment at the University of Newcastle and is passionate about
medical education and clinical research. He has 39 publications with 403
citations and an h-index of 11 (Scopus, 24 October 2023).
