Adriaan A. Lammertsma is a Professor at the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, University Medical Center Groningen, and at the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Amsterdam University Medical Centers. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Neurobiology Research Unit, Rigshospitalet. He received his PhD from the University of London (Imperial College) in 1984. Over the years, his research focus has been the development of tracer kinetic models for quantitative PET studies with applications in neurology, cardiology, and oncology. He was the 2012 recipient of the Kuhl-Lassen Award from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and the 2015 recipient of the ESMI Award from the European Society of Molecular Imaging. He has authored over 668 publications with a total of 53,600 citations and an h-index of 115 (Google Scholar).
