Dr. Mostafa Elshobary received his BSc in Microbiology from Tanta University, Egypt in 2005, and later obtained his MSc in Phycology from Tanta University in 2010. He then pursued his PhD in Biological Sciences through a joint program between Tanta University and the University of Manitoba, Canada, which he completed in 2015.
After earning his doctorate, Dr. Elshobary worked as a Lecturer at Tanta University in Egypt from 2015-2020. In 2018, he took on a postdoctoral research position at Jiangsu University in China focused on microalgal biorefineries, which he held until 2021.
Currently, Dr. Elshobary serves as an Associate Professor back at the Department of Botany & Microbiology, Tanta University. His research topics mainly encompass algal cultivation, biofuels, nutraceuticals, wastewater treatment, and bioproduct development.
