Dr. Nikolaos Papadopoulos is the head of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine of the 401 General Army Hospital of Athens, Greece. He was trained in Internal Medicine at the 401 General Army Hospital of Athens, Greece, and Sotiria Hospital of Athens, Greece. He had a one-year research fellowship in Hepatology at the Liver Unit of the 2nd Academic Department of Internal Medicine in Hippokration General Hospital, Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, where he completed his Ph.D. in clinical Hepatology. He is currently an active military medical doctor with the rank of colonel. He is an active member of the Hellenic Association for the Study of the Liver (HASL) and the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL). His main research interest has been in liver diseases, especially viral hepatitis. He has (co-)authored several papers published in PubMed journals. He also has given several lectures and presented several abstracts at international meetings. He has served as an Editorial Board member of international journals and a reviewer for many gastroenterology/hepatology journals.
Sotirios P. Fortis received his Ph.D. degree at the Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece & Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy Center, "Saint Savas" Cancer Hospital, Greece in 2018. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Cancer Immunology and
Immunotherapy Center, "Saint Savas" Cancer Hospital, Greece (2018–current). His research topics mainly include the identification of new prognostic biomarkers in prostate cancer.
