Author Biographies

Dina Bakranova received her Ph.D. in Physics with a dissertation in nanotechnology and nanomaterials in 2017. She is the Deputy Head of the Center of Alternative Energy and Nanotechnologies and an Assistant Professor at Kazakh-British Technical University. Dina Bakranova received the state scientific scholarship for talented young scientists in 2020. Her fields of interest are semiconductors, solar cells technology, and the structure of thin films.
David J. Nagel received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.  He worked at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC for almost four decades.  Nagel has been a Research Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the George Washington University for the past 25 years.  He is a member and Honorary Fellow of the International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science.
