Dr. Carmine Liberatore is a Medical Doctor and Haematologist currently working at Ospedale Santo Spirito in Pescara (Italy) involved in the management of patients with onco-haematological diseases. He matured his expertise progressively over the years during his Residency at the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital (Milan, Italy). In 2020, he joined the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at Uniklinikum Karl Gustav Carus (Dresden, Germany) as a Visitor Physician for one year. After completing his Residency in Haematology, he was deeply involved in the management of patients with lymphoproliferative disorders, working as a consultant in the Lymphoma Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital (Milan, Italy). He is a member of the Società Italiana di Ematologia (SIE) and the European Hematology Association (EHA). He is currently the author of six publications in peer-reviewed journals, for which he is the first author of three. His areas of expertise include malignant haematology, autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, immunotherapy and cellular therapy, and infections in immunocompromised patients.
