Sima Noghanian received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1992, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, both in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Manitoba, in 1996 and 2001, respectively. In 2001, she was a Strategic Development Researcher at YottaYotta Corp., Edmonton, Canada. She was an NSERC Post-Doctoral Fellow in 2002 at the University of Waterloo. She was an Assistant Professor at the Sharif University of Technology from 2002 to 2003, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba from 2003 to 2008. She was an Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of North Dakota from 2008 to 2018. She also served as the Electrical Engineering Department Chair, Director of the UND Grand Challenges Scholar Program, and Graduate Director. In 2018, she was a Visiting Professor at San Diego State University, USA. In 2019, she joined PADT Inc., and from 2020 to 2021, she was a Principal Antenna Design Engineer at Wafer LLC. In 2021, she joined CommScope as a Principal Antenna Design Engineer. Additionally, she is an Antenna/RF consultant with Neuspera Medical Inc. Dr. Noghanian is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, ACES Journal, IET Microwave, Antennas and Propagation, and AEU International Journal of Electronics and Communications.
