Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

To manage and secure the satellite transactions, this paper presents a blockchain-based protocol called Proof of Space Transactions (PoST) to manage and authenticate the transactions of satellite constellations in a P2P connection. The PoST protocol is prototyped using Ethereum blockchain and experiments are conducted to evaluate its performance using the metrics: read latency, read throughput, transaction latency, and transaction throughput. The results showed that the PoST protocol is secure and efficient in managing and securing constellation-based satellites transactions.

The paper addresses an interesting and important topic; however, there are several things that must be taken into consideration in order to improve the quality of the paper.

+ The paper needs to be thoroughly checked for English language mistakes. There are numerous grammatical errors and typos that must be carefully checked and corrected. The language is not acceptable in its current form.

As an example, there are several typos in the Introduction section, such as:

- "Global Space Economy Grows" should be "Global Space Economy grows"

- "satellite systems has become depends ..." should be ""satellite systems has become dependent ..."

- "financial transactions and grants a robust" should be "financial transactions and grant a robust"

- "transactions are not been halted." should be "transactions are not halted."

- "These characteristics make blockchain is a qualified" should be "These characteristics make blockchain a qualified"

- "breach or distortion. testing, and launching." should be "breach or distortion."

- "The Blockchain statue is shared" should be "The Blockchain status is shared"

+ In abstract, authors claim that they perform evaluations on five metrics. Actually, they perform the evaluation using four metrics, not five.

+ Figures 2 and 3 as well as working of Algorithms 1 and 2 should be explained in more detail.

+ The font size of the text in figures should be bigger and more clear.

+ In Table 7, the TPR, TNR, Accuracy are calculated as 100%. How can you justify these result? Please explain and discuss in detail.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper presents a blockchain-based protocol called Proof of Space Transactions (PoST). This protocol was adopted to manage and authenticate the transactions of satellite constellations in a P2P connection. The simulation results showed that the performance of the PoST protocol is secure and efficient in managing and securing constellation-based satellites transactions.

The paper is structured correctly.

The survey presented in the paper is a very interesting and useful contribution, especially for satellite constellation is vulnerable against some cyber-attacks that aim to disrupt one satellite or all satellites of the constellation such as hacking, spoofing, interference, and jamming at-tacks. The main research contribution is show that modelling the space transactions as Space digital tokens (SDT) and using these tokens in proposing a novel PoST protocol for satellite communications and transactions using the blockchain technology. I think that this paper is appropriate for publishing.
