The journal retracts the article, titled “COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy and Resistance in India Explored through a Population-Based Longitudinal Survey” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding an overlap between this publication [1] and a previous publication [2], as well as concern regarding the potential misrepresentation of data.
Adhering to our complaints procedure, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed a significant similarity in data between the two above-mentioned publications [1,2], despite differences in populations and study areas, as well as discrepancy in the information of the source and date of the survey. As a result, the Editorial Board lost confidence in the integrity of the findings and decided to retract this publication [1] as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the Vaccines journal.
The authors did not agree to this retraction.
