Cover Story: Analyzing passenger flow is vital for optimizing public transport operations and safety. This paper introduces a novel, cost-efficient system that leverages YOLO-based computer vision deployed on low-power NVIDIA Jetson Nano (Edge AI) devices. Unlike traditional cloud-dependent methods, our approach provides real-time, on-device analysis of passenger density in tram stations. This enables immediate decision-making, significantly enhancing operational efficiency, reducing hardware costs, and improving the safety and experience of urban mobility systems. View this paper
