Cognitive Training for the Treatment of Addictions Mediated by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The work presents a novel approach in the study of addictions. In general, the work is adequate and interesting, despite which some minor aspects to improve are discussed below.
In line 58 mention is made of smoking behavior, I recommend not reducing only to that type of behavior.
In spite of the theoretical mentions regarding addiction, mainly from a neurobiological point of view, it would be interesting to mention the social aspects present in addictions as important elements both in the development and in the evolution of the disease, as well as its importance in the treatment, as part of the explanatory theoretical context.
I find a certain disorder in the structure of the sections of the manuscript, such as that on line 228, point 4 is introduced "Materials and method" after discussion. Likewise, given that the work is a narrative review, a major development of the studies selected in the core of the article is needed. On the other hand, to visually summarize the relevant information, I would recommend synthesizing the most significant information in a summary table following the APA criteria.
