2020 marks a new year, a new decade, and a new journey for our journal. We are excited to announce changes in key areas that we believe will position the CMTR for continued growth and success. As you can see, our journal not only has a new look, but we have also made the transition from Thieme Publishing to Sage Publishing. We look forward to partnering with our new publisher and would like to thank you all for your patience during this transition.
Another key change you will see is in our editorial board. Srinivas Susarla, Sat Parmar, and I have assumed the role of the new Editors-in-Chief of our journal. We have also composed an editorial board of Deputy Editors who will assure the smooth progression of submitted manuscripts based on their subcategories.
The Deputy Editors are Martin Batstone for Reconstruction, Arun Pattatheyil for Pathology, Majeed Rana for Trauma, Salam Salman for Deformities, Patricio Andrade for Esthetic Surgery, Laurent Ganry for Media Content, Mark Hirschbein for Occuloplastics, and Olubenga Ogunlewe for Dentoalveolar/Implant. We will continue to rely on our CMF community to serve as reviewers as we move forward.
We begin this decade with an ambitious goal, to grow our readership, and to position our journal as a leader in our surgical sphere. To attain this, we will rely on you, our readers. We will look to you to submit your work to CMTR and to remind your colleagues to do the same. We firmly believe that if we work collectively, we can accomplish this goal in a relatively short time.
The new submission process will use the SAGEtrack. This system is user-friendly and will be easy to navigate. The new manuscript system can be found at

CMTR has also recently launched social media accounts. Please follow us on Facebook:

We encourage you to follow the Journal to discuss new and upcoming articles with our online community!
Lastly, we are extremely grateful to our previous Editors-in-Chief, Paul Manson and Larry Hollier, for their excellent leadership and service to our journal. It is an honor to have the opportunity to help steward the journal in this new decade and to work toward its continued success.
