Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The importance of digital learning refers to the application of technology with its adaptation and adoption to support the instructional process. Its potential value aims at providing both effective and efficient gateway through the usage and application of digital online and technology in helping learners to achieve the target plan. The skills acquisition, together with knowledge comprehension, are, as a result, becoming an initial pathway on adapting the information transmission process to be delivered in the communication technology procedure. The essence of such facilities has clearly provided an effective tool and platform to assist the learning outcomes process. Providing the digital resources is involved with designing the current trends of information and communication pathway in supporting the learner interaction. The design facilitated by the digital learning technology provided the substantial facilities with the procedural pathway, space, and time engagement.

In addition, the currently practiced instructions have emerged in the formal and non-formal learning institution in terms of digital learning with the variety of forms, mediums, and also models. All these refer to give an effective way in having the sufficient combination of different elements, including mobile learning, virtual based instruction, and also digital media-supported learning instructions. As a result, the need to have the learning technology with an active practice should be initiated into the proper combination comprising technology itself, the content of digital instruction, and instructional platform. It is clear that the learning practice is enhanced with utilizing the technology so that the process of knowledge transmission within the instructional practice has to be designed appropriately in following the learners’ experience. With an effective use in the wide spectrum of platforms, tools, and practice, digital learning in faith school is adapted in strengthening the learning interaction and instruction.

Furthermore, there is an urgent demand for mapping the spectrum of the process of digital learning in a formal and non-formal learning institution. The main point of this Special Issue is to give a clear picture among the readers, stakeholders, and also general academia in providing the landscape of transmission process together with evaluation procedure of its effectiveness and efficiency. Since the significance of digital learning could give an open gateway in bringing the space for dynamic circumstance in the learning process, the substantial contributions might lead to enhance the learning opportunities with addressing the pedagogically combined integration through digital technology and multimedia instruction. As such, the precise of this Special Issue collection is to look into detail about the digital learning with its current trends, beliefs, and practices in formal and non-formal learning institutions. The adequate combination and integration of digital media and learning technology could be formed and designed in following the learners’ experiences in the formal and non-formal learning institution.

The anticipated topic scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • Pedagogical concept and practice in formal and non-formal learning institution;
  • Technology and media-supported instruction in formal and non-formal learning institution;
  • Effective learning practice in formal and non-formal learning institution;
  • Spiritual development through digital learning;
  • Evaluation practice in formal and non-formal learning institution;
