Journal Statistics

Nutrients published 1340 papers in 2017, which is an increase of over 65.43% compared to 2016 (810). After 9 years of open access publishing, Nutrients has published a total of 3812 articles and 846 articles have been cited 10 times or more. The average time of Nutrients from submission to first decision of 24.58 days and the fast median publication time of 53 days. The number of abstract views of Nutrients publications was 3,200,171 in 2017.

Meeting of the Nutrients Editorial Board

A meeting of the Nutrients Editorial Board was held in Adelaide Australia on 25th November 2017. The meeting was aligned with the 2017 Asia Pacific Conference on Clinical Nutrition and was held at the University of South Australia. Twenty Editorial Board members attended this meeting, and discussed a range of issues related to editorial practices of Nutrients, which, once implemented, should streamline the review process and improve the quality of publications. Nutrients sponsored prizes for the best student oral and poster presentations at the APCCN meeting and has a joint Special Issue with APCCN.

Adjustment of Editor-in-Chief

Inaugural Editor-in-Chief and recent Joint Editor-in-Chief of Nutrients, Professor Peter Howe, has announced that he is stepping down from this role and has handed over to Professor Jon Buckley to continue as sole Editor-in-Chief. Peter will continue to contribute to the journal in an Emeritus role.
