IJTPP 2019 Best Paper Award
Dear Authors,
We are very pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 IJTPP Best Paper Award. One review and one research article were selected by the journal awards committee according to their originality and significance, as well as the citation and download rates from 2016 to 2018 (Web of Science). The award recipients will each receive a certificate and an invitation to publish a paper free of charge in IJTPP, after the normal peer-review procedure. Each paper will additionally receive a bonus of 350 CHF. The winners list is as follows:
One review paper
Erik Dick; Slawomir Kubacki, “Transition Models for Turbomachinery Boundary Layer Flows: A Review”, https://www.mdpi.com/2504-186X/2/2/4
One research paper
Lasse Mueller; Tom Verstraete, “CAD Integrated Multipoint Adjoint-Based Optimization of a Turbocharger Radial Turbine”, https://www.mdpi.com/2504-186X/2/3/14
We congratulate the authors and thank them for having chosen IJTPP to publish their work.
IJTPP 2017 Travel Award
We are pleased to announce that the IJTPP Student Travel Award 2017 has been awarded to Mr. Bogdan C. Cernat.
Mr. Cernat graduated in Mechanical Engineering form the Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2014 and he is currently pursuing a PhD at the Turbomachinery and Propulsion Department of the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics and the Université Catholique de Louvain. His research is dedicated to the aerothermal characterization of unsteady flows in HP turbine stages for aeroengine applications with the purpose of providing high-resolution, time-resolved measurements on the overtip flow field associated with optimized blade geometries. On behalf of IJTPP, he will be awarded 500 Swiss francs to attend the ASME Turbo Expo 2018, which will be held in Lillestrøm (Norway) between the 11th and the 15th of June 2018. There he will present a detailed description of the experimental work carried out for the timeresolved representation of the unsteady pressure field at the HP rotor casing.
