Welcome to the website of the 5th International Conference on Micro and Nano Flows, MNF2016, hosted by the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, from 11th to 14th September 2016.
As with preceding meetings in the series, MNF2016 focus on aspects of micro and nano flows, encompassing both, thermofluids engineering and biomedical fluid mechanics. The area of small scale flows is highly inter-disciplinary and taxing for the individual researcher due to its rapid development pace. The challenge is in applying the highest expertise, whether in fundamental analysis and modelling of fluid flow or heat transfer, in experimentation or in developing successful innovative devices for application areas. There are still many problems to be resolved, especially as scales reduce from micro to nano levels. There is particular value in the nature of this meeting: it seeks to provide knowledge of the latest international achievements and provides a good opportunity for researchers to present and discuss their work across disciplines in biomedical and thermofluid engineering. We invite all engineers, scientists, industrialists, clinicians, modellers and experimentalists working in the field to attend.
