3–5 October 2017, Zaragoza, Spain
XVI Congreso Nacional de Acuicultura (XVI CNA)

The Spanish Aquaculture Society (SEA), organizes the XVI National Congress of Aquaculture (XVI CNA) from 3 to 5 October 2017, jointly with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Zaragoza (UZ) and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (IAMZ) of the International Centre of Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM). On this occasion, the SEA has chosen the city of Zaragoza for the Organization of this biennial Congress, which is expected to be attended by more than 300 participants from academia, the administration and the private sector. As in previous editions, the Congress will review and discuss the main challenges of Spanish aquaculture in research, development and innovation, in order to promote the transfer of technology and knowledge, as well as to enhance the sustainable development of this activity. The Congress will include multiple technical and scientific sessions that will address the results of the most outstanding research projects and encourage analysis and debate among participants. The meeting seeks to stimulate the participation of the private sector and to promote the creation of synergies between this and the scientific community, not forgetting the other agents, public administrations, feed manufacturers and commercial companies.
