The Global Land Project third Open Science Meeting (GLP 3rd OSM 2016), to be held from 24-27th October 2016 at China National Convention Center in Beijing aims at bringing together the Land System Science community to present, discuss and foster progress towards a sustainable land use future.

T1 S18-Progress in quantifying impacts of land use and land cover change in a changing climate using an Earth system modeling approach
In this session, we seek contributions on quantifying the effects of LULCC on water/carbon/nutrient cycling, water-food-energy nexus, ecosystem health and services, and regional and global climate through applying ESMs or its components at local, regional, and global scales. Studies on ESM development, including efforts on developing individual modules, coupling among modules to better understand feedbacks, and assembling datasets for parameterizing and benchmarking ESMs, are also welcome.
