Auriculotherapy and allied therapies have recently become the “must-know-more” fields in clinical care. These therapies have been successful in applications as diverse as neonatal intensive care, emergency room and the military battlefield, improving peri-operative pain and alleviating stress, anxiety and depression. The broad application of Auriculotherapy in medicine today is due to its neuromodulatory mechanisms, which are based in neuroscience and these many applications will be showcased at the Symposium in August 2017.
The Symposium will benefit clinicians (Medical, Dental and Allied Health) keen to optimize their practice, hospital administrators and clinical staff seeking to improve health services delivery and optimize pain management. The Symposium will be invaluable for Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, as the neurophysiological evidence for effective ear protocols will enhance their knowledge.
