9th European Conference on Precision Agriculture (ECPA)
2013-07-07 to 2013-07-11
Lleida (Catalonia, Spain)

Precision Agriculture is a multidisciplinary approach to modern agriculture. It is using methods and techniques from other disciplines such as geostatistics, sensors, remote sensing, automation, ICT, etc. to help farmers increase their productions and product quality and reducing at the same time the environmental impact of agriculture. It has been in constant evolution since first developing stages in the late 80s/early 90s.

The size of ECPA meetings (200-250 attendees) allows focusing on specific topics related to all PA practices while discovering what our colleagues are working on, enabling synergies and co-operation. After 18 years, the 9th European Conference on Precision Agriculture will be held in Lleida (Catalonia, Spain) under the auspices of the Universitat de Lleida and the International Society of Precision Agriculture.

Insect Hormones (19th Ecdysone) International Workshop, 2013
2013-07-21 to 2013-07-26
Minneapolis, MI, USA
The discussions at this workshop will focus on the molecular mechanisms of insect hormone and neuropeptide action.  This meeting is an updated version of the long-running International Ecdysone Workshop.  While ecdysone function will continue to be a central theme of the workshop, we will also consider how ecdysone signaling is integrated with juvenile hormone, insulin, and other neurohormone and peptide signals as they pertain to insect development, developmental behaviors, growth, reproduction and physiology.  We anticipate that this workshop will be of interest to developmental geneticists and cell biologists working on many model systems including, but not limited to, Drosophila, Tribolium, Bombyx, Manduca, Culicidae, and Blattaria.

International Symposia on Entomology
2013-09-04 to 2013-09-06
Orlando, FL, USA

ISE-2013 is to showcase advances in entomological research and development in the insect world. The skills and knowledge of entomologists are needed worldwide helping farmers to produce crops and livestock more efficiently through sound pest management strategies, fighting to save endangered species and fragile ecosystems, and preventing insects from spreading agents that cause serious diseases. We are inviting all the entomologists and researchers, logistics practitioners to share experience, foster collaborations across industry, academia, and evaluate emerging technologies across the globe.

We are sure that this conference will fit into the series of these developing gatherings of our entomologists, and will be outstanding as much as its content and atmosphere are concerned. The scientific program  paves a way to gather visionaries through the research talks and presentations and put forward many thought provoking strategies in Entomology.
