Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) Launched in Web of Science™, November 16, 2015 12:02

The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) has been launched by Thomson Reuters as a new index in Web of Science™
alongside the established Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). Web of
Science™ thereby continues to reflect the growing importance of Open Access scholarly literature as nearly half of the newly
accepted journals are Open Access journals.

We are pleased to announce that 32 journals published by MDPI were selected to be included in the Emerging Sources
Citation Index (ESCI). They will be added to the Web of Science™ Core Collection over the next few weeks, starting from
articles published in 2015. From this point forward the journals will be searchable in Web of Science and will thus benefit
from higher visibility while being under evaluation for SCIE or SSCI.

The following MDPI journals are to be covered soon in ESCI:
