ECIS is considered the premier information systems event in the European region and provides a platform for panel discussions and the presentation of peer-reviewed academic research. All submissions are double-blind reviewed and recent acceptance rates have been roughly 30% range. The electronic version of the conference proceedings (1993-2008-excluding 1995 and 1998) and full citations (1993-2008) are available publicly.
The first ECIS conference took place in 1993 in Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom. This year, the 20th European Conference on Information Systems will be celebrated at ESADE in Barcelona Spain. We look forward to a celebration of 20 years of outstanding IS scholarship in Barcelona on June 10-13, 2012.
The conference will be preceded by the Doctoral Consortium, planned to be held from Friday to Sunday. Sunday evening will mark the official start with the Welcome Reception that will be held on Sunday Evening. However, we must note that these dates are provisional and subject to change by the organizing committee.

ICCSA 2012 will be the next event in a series of highly successful International Conferences on Computational Science and Its Applications (ICCSA), previously held in Santander, Spain (2011), Fukuoka, Japan (2010), Suwon, Korea (2009), Perugia, Italy (2008), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2007), Glasgow, UK (2006), Singapore (2005), Assisi, Italy (2004), Montreal, Canada (2003), and (as ICCS) Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2002) and San Francisco, USA (2001).
Computational Science is a main pillar of most of the present research, industrial and commercial activities and plays a unique role in exploiting Information and Communication Technologies as innovative technologies.
The ICCSA Conference offers a real opportunity to discuss new issues, tackle complex problems and find advanced enabling solutions able to shape new trends in Computational Science.
The present ICCSA event, organized for the first time in Southern America, is aimed at contributing to the scientific advance of Computational Science in the whole continent and in Brazil in particular.
