The 2009 IEEE Information Theory Workshop on Networking and Information Theory will take place in Volos, Greece. Contributions spanning networks and other areas of information theory are particularly encouraged, and authors not ordinarily attending information theory conferences are especially welcome.

The second International Workshop in Sequential Methodologies will be held at the University of Technology of Troyes, Troyes, France, June 15-17, 2009. The workshop covers all aspects of sequential methodologies in mathematical statistics and information theory from theoretical developments in optimal stopping, sequential analysis, change detection to different applications in mathematical finance, quality control, clinical trials, signal and image processing, etc.

The Joint European Thermodynamics Conference celebrates its 10th anniversary. The intention for the conference is twofold, to provide a meeting ground for thermodynamicists from all of Europe and surroundings, and to show that thermodynamics is far from being a complete polished subject, useful only as a tool to evaluate chemical and thermal processes. On the contrary, thermodynamics is vibrant with new ideas and methods, receiving inspiration from other fields of science as well as providing inspiration to such other fields, e.g. general optimization theory, fluid dynamics, and ecological modeling. All kinds of thermodynamics are welcome at the conference.

The 2009 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory will be held at COEX (Convention & Exhibition) in Seoul, Korea.

The 2010 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW 2010) will take place in Cairo, Egypt.
Its purpose is to be a forum for technical exchange among scientists and engineers working on fundamentals of information theory. The agenda are broad and will cover the diverse topics that information theory presently impacts.

The 2010 IEEE International Sysmposium on Information Theory will take place in Austin, Texas, USA .
Interested authors are encouraged to submit previously unpublished contributions from a broad range of topics related to information theory.

The XXIV International Conference on Statistical Physics of the International Union for Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) will be held in the Convention Centre, Cairns, Queensland, Australia, 19-23 July, 2010. This Conference series takes place every three years in a different continent to enhance the international relevance and visibility of the leading world event in the broad field of Statistical Physics and all its interdisciplinary developments.

Continuing the series of FIS Conferences (Madrid 1994, Vienna 1996, Paris 2005) a new venue will be held in Beijing 2010. In our times, an increasing number of disciplines are dealing with information in very different ways: from information society and information technology to communication studies (and related subjects like codes, meaning, knowledge, and intelligence), as well as quantum information, bioinformation, knowledge economy, network science, computer science and Internet, to name but a few. At the same time, an increasing number of scientists in the East and the West have been engaged with the foundational problems underlying this development, to such an extent that the integration of disciplines revolving around information seems an idea whose time has come. A new science of information can be envisaged that explores the possibilities of establishing a common ground, of constructing a new scientific perspective that connects the different information-related disciplines and provides a new framework for transdisciplinary research.
