First Conference on Atmospheric Biogeosciences
27 May 2012 to 1 June 2012
Boston, MA, USA

The goal of the conference is to showcase the diversity in research in the field of biosphere-atmosphere interactions. More specifically, the conference is directed toward improving our understanding how the earth-atmosphere system will evolve under a changing climate and changing environmental pressures.

AMS 25th Conference on Weather and Forecasting (WAF) and 21st Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) jointly with the 46th Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographical Society (CMOS) Congress 2012
29 May 2012 to 1 June 2012
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

The theme for 2012 will be The Changing Environment and its impact on climate, ocean and weather services and intends to be a reflection on the changes in our environment from different perspectives. The physical environment is changing and several sectors of activity are impacted by these changes. This brings in a change in the socio-economic environment, which increasingly depends on information provided by weather forecasts, as well as from oceanic and climate simulations.

Such knowledge is now critical to harmonize our development with such important changes. This in turn leads to changes in our ways of working both in research and applications of climate, atmospheric and oceanic sciences. The theme of the Congress is of course one of the many topics of our meeting and, as always, the Congress will also be the occasion to cover several other subjects of interests for our community.

AGU Chapman Conference on Volcanism and the Atmosphere
11 June 2012 to 15 June 2012
Selfoss, Iceland

Volcanic eruptions can have a profound effect on the Earth’s atmosphere and environment on all time scales.  From being the source of most gases in the atmosphere over geologic time to producing climate change detectable over the past millennia, to threatening aviation, volcanic eruptions provide a strong link between Earth’s activity and its influence on the atmosphere and human history.

To review this progress and stimulate new work in this important area, we are holding a third Chapman Conference on volcanic eruptions and the atmosphere, this time broadening it to specifically include aviation.

3rd International Conference on Transport, Atmosphere and Climate
25 June 2012 to 28 June 2012
Prien am Chiemsee, Germany

The TAC conferences on Transport, Atmosphere, and Climate provide a platform for an international information exchange and a discussion forum on the current status of our knowledge of the impact of transport on the composition of the atmosphere and the climate. They continue and broaden the scope of the initial AAC conference Aviation, Atmosphere, and Climate which took place in 2003. The first and second TAC conferences were successfully held in Oxford in 2006 and in Aachen/Maastricht in 2009.

Davos Atmosphere and Cryosphere Assembly 2013 Air, Ice & Process Interactions
8 July 2012 to 12 July 2012
Davos, Switzerland

The conference aims at presentations and discussions at the cutting edge of atmospheric and cryospheric science.

Participants at the conference will present and discuss the latest developments and research in these two scientific disciplines. Recognizing the fact that many of the key challenges confronting global environmental change lie at the interface of these disciplines particular attention will be devoted to the subtle interactions between these spheres.
