Abstract

We propose a method for estimating the channel matrix in MIMO communication systems from intermittent measurements based on the matrix completion technique. The method requires the minimization of the trace norm of the partially known channel matrix. The availability of fast and efficient convex minimization programs allows a numerically efficient solution of the problem.
