Ion sensors offer an attractive solution for continuously evaluating the content of certain ionic species in aqueous media. New ionophores, with high selectivity, are developed for many ions. The ion sensors can be used for determination of ion concentration in different media – aqueous solutions and non-aqua soulutions. The sensors have great application in many scientific and technological areas. The sensors are often used in medicine , pharmacy, environmental monitoring, technolgical processes, research laboratories, etc. These sensors mainly are cheap, but they have good reproducibility and accuracy. Therefore, this Issue of SENSORS is devoted to the sensors.
