Abstract: The photochromic compound was obtained from 4-diethoxymethyl-benzaldehyde and trans-2-benzoyl-3-(4-nitrophenyl)aziridine via a three component reaction. The structure of this compound was characterized by elemental analysis, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR and UV-Visible spectral data.
