Abstract: 3-(1H-Indol-3-yl)-4-(morpholin-4-yl)cyclobut-3-ene-1,2-dione was obtained in good yields (72–82%) by nucleophilic substitution of 3-chloro-4-(1H-indol-3-yl)cyclobut-3-ene-1,2-dione with morpholine.
